Problem with Moongates

Since this is my first post: Hi to all.

Now my problem. First i have used the search function and read through quite some threads but couldn't find the answer i am looking for.
I want to get into the Vale of Ruin for completing the death lord quest. Now i know that i need to go via Moongates and i also visited this wizard who gave me the book with the info about the runes. I have a moonstone,too.
Now when i enter a moongate and press shift i always get the message that i still miss an item. (this happens on every moongate i have been to)
Everywhere i read on Moongates, it says that you only need a moonstone, nothing more. So what am i missing ? I thought i have everything i need.

Well i should say that i haven't progressed so much on the main path as i only found the first relict. I just want to become a death lord and obtain the heavy armor skill before going on with the main quest. Maybe i need to do some main quest missions first before using the moongates ?

You only need a moonstone, but evidently the game doesn't think you have one. Are you sure you have one? It should be in your inventory under "keys." I've never heard of this problem before, but maybe it's a new bug introduced in 1.3.

Thanks for the answer.
I am pretty sure that i really have a moonstone. Checked it twice in the inventory. I killed around 15 moonbeasts (easy experience points since they seem a little dumb) and got 4 moonstones.
So it seems like i am stuck.. damn.

Not 100% sure on this, can check it later when back home, but I think with patch 1.3 you have to have more than one moonstone in your inventory. Will check it and repost in a few hours if needed.

Rechecked it ... even with 1.3 only one Moonstone required, was confused with the crystals for the second celestial quest.
