Nines didn't kill that werewolf. You did.

He's talking about the werewolf that snatched Nines away, NOT the one that comes after you.

Well, Nines is suppose to be a more powerful vampire than the player character. More importantly, he's suppose to be one of the most powerful vampires in L.A. There's not really much other explanation that can be made. He simply fought the best to its death, and won, barelly.

But, yes, in terms of game play there is no way to "brawl" the werewolf to death that attacks you. It's pretty much invulnerable. If you get the timing right you can smash it in the observatory, though.

Nines knew he was going into Werewolf territory to hide, so maybe he was prepared... A clip of sliver bullets latter and Nines looks like the hero who wrestled a Werewolf down with his teeth and nails. Maybe theres a werewolf body floating in the bay right now riddled with silver slugs...

I think that the basic answer is the same one given for much of what happens in any movie. . .because it was in the script.

Maybe Nines got lucky, for example: Maybe the werewolf and him fell down some great height while struggling and Nines landed on top of the werewolf which broke his fall and weakened the werewolf enough for Nines to beat him.

But that's just one example of what might have happened and due to the fact that you don't actually see how he kills the werewolf you can speculate endlessly about how he does it.
I'm so serious it's comical!
