I've never played Starcraft, but by talk and watching others play, its overrated. So I say nay. I don;t like overrated things.

What an intriguing view point for one who has admittedly never played the game.
Provided Blizzard moves away from a disturbing trend in their games of creating a game which a few key aspects essentially make the rest of it all pointless, I'd like to see a StarCraft sequel. It was, after all, one of the greatest RTS's produced.

No kidding.
The game is freakin awesome to begin with, even if there is only three races. Then again, thousands of ways to brutally slaughter your opponent(s).
Definetly bring a SC2.

Rude caps-shouting or not, I agree with him. Starcraft is just... awsome. The only thing better in Warcraft 3 as opposed to Starcraft is the graphics, and I think the custom games (like TDs and DOTAs) in WC3 are better... I haven't played Starcraft over Battle.net much, but I'd still say it's better in Warcraft.

In Blizzard site they mention something about a continuation to starcraft, and I dont see reason for neglecting it. The game is awesome, even though has been sent to the shadows after the last warcraft.
The only problem in Starcraft 2, that comes to my mind, is the unbalancing of the races. I'd like to see MORE unbalanced races. For example, a weaker zerg and a stronger terran.

As I'm sure many of you are aware, at the end of Warcraft 3 (Or Frozen Throne), there was a little cameo of Marines + Hyralisks fighting, then some....Space Orks?...come along. Also, the ending of Brood War sets up for a sequel big time. So I'm very confident that there will be a Starcraft 2 (avatars in Starcraft wre better than WC3 though). But of course if/when they do make a sequel, [spoilers]Fenix will be dead though
.
Furthermore, if they did begin a Starcraft 2, how do you think they would work Terran into the game after all Terran forces are pretty much destroyed?

Yes, there is another Starcraft game coming out called Starcraft: Ghost.
However, as with KotOR II, the evident popularity of this game has not even lead to the announcement of a new game in the series. Although the game is the most popular RTS made, if I remember correctly, and was played at an international level, Blizard decided to go ahead with 3 consecutive series of Warcraft instead, following up with WoW and Starcraft: Ghost.
In fact, many of the FAQs, interviews, and the like from this site has stated; There are absolutely no plans at all for the creation of another Starcraft.

The build up of a sequel to Star Craft really only existed in the bonus Zerg mission, so I'm not sure if it really counts. I believe it was simply placed there as a possibility, as opposed to a definite. As stated in earlier posts, at a much earlier time, I would love to see a new installment of Star Craft, provided they didn't mess the game dynamics up horribly.
Besides, keep in mind that it was only the UED forces that had been sent to the colonies that were destroyed, not Earth's full forces
They could easily make the Zerg find Earth, and work the Protoss in some how.

Ah that's right, it was part of the zerg campaign wasn't it? (except you were Protoss)
But at the ending when it says what happens to everyone, it says something along the lines of Kerrigan looking at into space with a feeling of something powerful coming.
Hmm, regarding to UED's forces, good point; it wouldn't make sense if Earth sent everything they had at the Zerg over on other side of galaxy, but it would be cool to see what news units Blizzard would come up with for Terran(German Valkyries and Russian Battlecruisers first, so what could be next?)
