Opinion time:
Dxuon/Onderron is a good first planet for DS. You don't get to fight Kavar on your first visit, so you will have much more opportunity to level up before you face your first Jedi Master in battle. You should also have finished your lightsaber before reaching Onderron, IIRC. And you get a DS character, Mandalore.
After that Nar Shaddaa is good. Two DS characters HK-47 and G0-T0 will join for sure, and Hanharr too if you are DS enough.
Dantooine next, if only because it is a little strange as the fourth planet. The enclave is re-opened by the Jedi before you have left which always seems weird; Kreia will tell you to return to the ruins straight away (for the same reason, leaving Dxun/Onderron to last is weird; you get Kavar's message to return to Onderron directly after leaving it).
So that leaves Korriban last. Short and fairly pointless, even as a DS. The tomb here has some DS artifacts but they aren't sufficiently uber to warrent going out of your way to recover them.

LucasArts in interview with GameSpy, September 2004
"We were hoping we could bring the Xbox platform into December but didn't want to make the formal announcement until we knew an earlier ship date would not compromise the quality of The Sith Lords," says Producer Mike Gallo.
