End Game-Malachor V help..."Spoiler"

Post by styymy »

Hello all,
I need a bit of help on Malachor V. I'm playing as LS jedi and all has gone well up to this point. I'm on the surface and I was using the walkthrough for a bit of help. I should be starting as Bao-Dur's remote, but I'm starting Malachor V as the main character. Is this correct? Or is there a way to switch from the main charachter to the remote?

Thanks

No thats not right, you should start out as the remote and then switch to the main character later. It sounds like you might have a bug. I suggest trying to restart your game or look for a patch if you have the pc version.

and make sure you have the latest version of the patch too, there are a lot of bugs in this game and they have been making patches one after another.

Are you sure?

I thought that you started as the main character and got them to the main building, just past the big fight with the boss monster and after that you controlled the remote.
It helps so you don't have to worry about opposition when you get control of the weaker Remote.
Try exploring, you should get control of Remote, before you control your character in the main building.

when I played I remember getting the remote first because I got chased around by those mutaint things. then the main character came out and the ship fell into the cracks. but we might both be right, maybe there are two ways to play the ending.

This is what the walkthrough says:
Until you are the remote, these consoles do nothing as your main character. When it's completed, you'll be visited by G0-T0 for a final word, before again taking control of your main character.

It suggests you start as the main character, then taking control of the Remote and then your character again. I remember visiting the crashed ships and wondering what they were for before taking the Remote there.
Are you sure you remember it correctly?

If you look in the Game Banshee walkthrough Its says that after crashing on Malacor V you take control of Mira to fight the wookie and then after beating him you take control of the remote. That might be what the quote is talking about.

Yeah, I remember that. Do you remeber fighting the giant mutant (or storm beast) with your main character? :)
Mira's fight was just after, followed by the control of the Remote.

hmmm I hate to admit defeat but I think you might be right, I read through the walkthrough again and it says at the very top that you start out as the main character and you have to go find the ship and so on. :D oops, I guess the italics are important hehe. But in my defense the walkthrough was a lil confusing and I can understand how styymy got confused in the first place but in the end your right and I thank you for setting me straight :)

Yay, I win. :p
I agree that this part of the walkthrough is a bit confusing though.
