Increased backstab in dual mode

Post by Apeiron »

Hi,
I'm soloing an assassin/fighter. I've choosed the assassin for the 7x backstabbing, so I dualed at lvl 21.
I'm now an assassin/fighter lvl 24, but as I level up, I get the message "backstab multiplier increased by -2". My multiplier remains at 7x.
Is it because the 7x is the maximum?
And most important, if I were a simple thief or a swashbuckler, did the level up reduced the multiplier until it has reached 7x?

for assassin, the highest backstab multiplier is 7 while the normal thief is 5 it wouldn't go any further up

That means that level up doesn't reduce the multiplier?

If your character sheet still says x7 it probably still is x7. In case you want to be totally sure, why not try it out?

I was not thinking specifically in my character. Imagine you have a 3x. Would it improve to 5x?
