Gem in sewers

Where would i find the gem in the sewers. I already released the guy but now i need his gems. Where is it???

if you explore the rooms to the right of where you released him. there is a room that looks like a church. the gem is in the alter..there are 2 traps in that room, one half way through the room and one on the alter
