Game Crash in Hommet...

Post by joezu »

I have read the forum, and searched it for anything that could help, but i can't find anything.
I found issues that were like my problem, but not the same, and couldn't help.

So. My problem is, that when I enter Hommet (donesn't matter what is the starting place), the game crashes after a couple of secunds.
I updated my Videocard driver, i reinstalled the game a couple of times, but it keeps happening.
I have no patch or fix installed.
If anyone could help, please do it....

Have you tried turning off the autosave when changing areas function under the options menu?

I just read in your first post that you have no fixes or patches installed. This is a bad idea. The game should not be played unpatched. For the most stable version, install patch 2 and temple.zip. You can find them here:

atari patch 2
-------------
http://www.atarisupport.com/
-or-
http://www.co8.org/files/patch/TOEE_USA_ANY-PATCH2.EXE

Temple.zip
----------
http://www.jadri.com/temple.zip
-or-
http://www.co8.org/files/patch/temple.zip

Hopefully, this will solve the problem. If not, you may want to try again from the beginning, as saves made from unpatched games may not work right, and you may just have a corrupted save. Let me know if you still have this issue. :p

Ok, i know what the patch is for, but whats with the temple.zip? What is it for? What will it do?
I read the readme file, but it only reads about the problem issues.
And after i installed the patch, the game needs to be cracked again, right?
'coz i have a pirated ver, and i'm thinking about buying the original. But if the situation doesn't getting better, i may not buy it. And i'll be sad....

About what happened after the patching, i'll inform later. (I need my cd, but i gave it to my friend)
