Bashing Chests

Ok, noob question. How do I bash chests? I click on bash and the bar goes and the trap goes off. I need to be able to get the chests in the second trial open somehow.

Havent you put points in Inspect/picklock/disarm ? Those skill are availlable for all classes, so.... And ´Bash´ needs a STRENGH !

I don't think he was asking if he should go with bash or disarm. He just wants to know how to bash.

Unfortunately, I can't completely answer that question because I began testing it with my high strength Urgoth and then found that it was just easier to dump a few points in the skills and pick the chests open as usual. As with picking chests open, I'm guessing you have to click on the little icons at the right moments as the bar moves. It appears that you'll need Inspect even if you are bashing...

Its easy to BASH chests

No Bashing is easy..its all in the skills. My char has 100 strength and even the lvl 9 chests i have a 64% chance to open them. All you have to do is clock bash and the higher ur strength the higher the chance of success. Its like pressing bash makes the computer lockpick the chest for you. the is no inspect lvls needed.

hmm..

I have 60 str and I bash open level 8 chests with 64% success. I wonder if 64% is the cap for bashing..?? My actual success rate is much higher than that though so doesn't matter I guess.

Anyway, to bash you simply click the "bash" option after accessing the chest you want to open. The computer does the rest... no clicking needed like you do with "picking" the lock.

bash caps

there is a cap but i dont know if it really caps it...for lvl 8 and 9 chests the cap is 64% but for lvl1-7 the cap is 72%..but with 100 str i rarely dont get the chest open anyways
