Dungeon Lords Reviews
There are so many disappointing reviews about "Dungeon Lords" in internet and in the magazines - guys, what do you think about all the criticism - true/false (or exaggerated)?

about the reviews...
I am not an expert, I have only played Dungeon Siege and now Dungeon Lords... (I used to play D&D a lot in the Service in the 70s) but I must say that the game play is terrific, but the fatal bugs (things that just leave you stranded and end your game) are really disappointing... A game shouldn't need a walk-through so that you don't do some fatal flaw thing.... I still think that the game is fun, but it is hard to invest hours and hours to save the "world" and have your hero lost somewhere... unable to go on...
just my two cents worth...

I had read several of the bad reviews and decided against buying the game. A month or so later, I was browsing through games at a store and noticed DL. My mind was on other stuff at the time and I didn't make the connection to the game with the bad reviews. It looked great and I bought it.
Luckily for me, patch 1.3 was already out by that point. It's still horribly incomplete and buggy but I know I wouldn't have had the patience of some others who stuck with the game from the start.
I have mixed feelings about it now. Despite the long list of flaws, I am thoroughly enjoying it so I'm glad I picked it up. However, I'm also a bit annoyed with myself for paying for this game, and in my small way, contributing to letting people think it is okay to release a product that was nowhere close to complete.
