Nether Katals, where to get them....?
Nether Katals, where to get them....?
Hey folks, I found out something rather interesting with the Nether Katals. I've noticed that you can't "buy" a lot of the components, sometimes having a really high Nether Level helps, but not always. If you happen to get ahold of Summon Fiend, Summon Deathlord, or even Summon Giant, you might find yourself in need of a few components, the Dried Homonoclus (sp?) as an example. I've discovered that if you HAVE one or two of the hard to find components already and you need more, DON'T use them, sell them back to a Nether Vendor, like Feros in Skuldoon. When you sell them, the vendor can then turn around and offer them! Strange the way it works, you'd think if you sold ONE, the vendor would only have ONE to sell, but not with Katals. I now have 65 Deathlords prepped and ready to be summoned, geez, gotta love it..LOL

Try it with any merchant.
Yep, I do the same thing with arcane spell books. You'll notice that it only works with stackables and not other things like armor, etc. (not that having more then 1 would help anyways).
golden_efreeti & tass23,
I used the same technique and sold one Cure Poison which left me with only one and I sold them to the armorer in Fargrove. I then proceeded to buy thirty more from him. I did save at first because I didn't know if it would work but it worked fine. I have tried this with a couple merchants and it 'seems' to work with most stackables.

Also regarding Nether Katals: all you need are the components, you don't need to find a vendor who sells the actual spell. Look on this site's game info area. Look at the items needed to mix to make a katal. Simply put those items in the mixxer and BAM! you have the spell. Any katal you want. Even the ones that don't work~
So much for serching chests for hours to find nether spells.
