The question is how sequential are the quests. I was wondering if I can
finish my Paladin and Battlemage quests before I accept the 'Way of the
Tiger' quest in Arindale which is a mandatory quest according to the walk-
through. I know that to finish the second quest given by the Celestial
Guild I have to go to Bolen Fields and take the quest from Lord Graemare.
That unlocks the Forbidden Lands and gives access to the Moongate there.
My Battlemage quest involves going to Skuldoon and helping the Shaman
there but I don't know of any thing blocking my going there.
I will wait before I continue so that I get some feedback on this so that
I don't have to go back to far or even start over. I am entertaining myself
by playing the Dungeon Siege II Demo while I wait. I am buying it and
they made some improvements over the original.
Any help appreciated!

I finished all of my class quests before ever starting on way of the tiger. However, I pulled a psuedo cheat and climbed the mountains to get to Vale of Ruin to get to the 3rd tier class encounter. Correct me if I'm wrong but I believe you must visit Lord Graemare --> visit Gileah (bar in Fargrove) --> visit Mara (Harrow Ruins) who will give you a letter for Vartugg who will in turn open the south gate allowing access to the quest encounters that lead into 3rd teir progression. Or you could just back flip over the south gate wall. This much doesn't require way of the tiger, I don't think. It's kinda' confusing so I may be forgetting some small detail that you need from way of the tiger quest.
Lol. I played the game through once following the storyline. Got a elf/female/rogue/adept/paladin/budoka/ninja lord to lvl 62 at the end. This time tho...its time to be a mountain trekker!!! Game route as follows has been...Skip the sewers...just headed east from beginning campfire to the easily accessible mountain range...trekked to the human lands and backtracked to the south fargrove gate...did the pertinant quests needed to continue forth from Fargrove...joined the mage/fighter guilds(and sisterhood)along the way...straight jacked monsters all the way to the devils marsh(I like the hard/more settings on all the time)dropped off my staff and told homegirl Rianna I was down with the battlemage quest...headed off to the south area of Lost lake...stomped punk + his skeleton flunkies...jacked some moonbeasts for the stone...swam/ran/fought(2 drakes!!!)my way to Elvithra for the sisterhood...told her I was interested in the Valkyrie selection...gave the elven fighter guild guy his sword...grabbed the sword of flame(elf race rocks!)...went and assassinated ugly ho hanging down at Ulm lake...headed back to Elvithra and got my next sisterhood quest...time to go back to Fargrove...grabbed Arindale and Talendor Moon bridges along the way...had a chat with Lord Graemare...went back to Rianna to become a Battlemage and check my guild messages...sure I'll help out the Duul meister, why not?(lol)...headed back up the mountains just south of Devils Marsh and trekked back to the beginning area again...now its time to enter the sewers...cleaned house...bailed homie out of jail...grabbed Fargrove Moon bridge....headed to the slums and got busy in Custard Mansion...split town and headed south...fought my way down to Skuldoon(with a break in the harrow ruins for some awesome fights by the shrine)...punked the Minotaurs like 20-30 times....talked to Feros...got his quest...headed to the wall...backed up to one of the wooden spikes leaning against the wall and backflipped my izzass outtah there...went and killed punk keeping my sista a slave in the Savage Lands(+2 more Drakes, yes exp!!!!)...went slayer all over dude bothering Duul meister...got Forbidden Lands Moon bridge...backflipped my way back into Skuldoon(soooooo easy to do)...talked to Feros....fought my way to the Northlands Moonbridge and headed back to Fargrove for the completion of my mage/sisterhood quests...decided to become a War Witch...took Moon bridge to Arindale...fought my way to the southernmost campfire in the Elven lands(the one south of the treehouses)...trekked back up into mountains and headed to the Vale of ruin...confronted Greuvenia....a looooooooooooooooooooong fight...fought her all the way down to the Moon Bridge(ornery ho!)...had to take like 5-6 trips to town and back before I dusted her izzass...headed back to Arindale for the completion of my sisterhood quest...now with all 5 classes filled up I've continued with the storyline...
Thanks for the replies!
golden_efreeti & Wraithawk,
Thanks for your responses on how sequential the quests are in this game.
I don't want to break a quest by doing something out of order or try
to Moongate in to Fargrove when it is locked down. I'm worried if I tried
moongating in that considering the shape this game is still in that it would
forever lockdown my computer and it is only 3 months since I had to
replace my previous one.
I am going back to a earlier save and not pick up the 'Way of the Tiger'
quest as that is the trigger for the lockdown of Fargrove. I might need
a good frosty cold beer from all that travel and fighting and Fargrove is
half way to where I am going.
You know, it's a damn jungle out there!

I did it several times.
Wraithawk, can you confirm that you had done all of that before doing Way of the Tiger? Picking up a moonstone is supposedly a lockdown trigger as well. It's meant to prevent you from being able to moonbridge into Fargrove while it is closed. Is that not the case?
Warbride,
I had no problem moongating into Fargrove before the lockdown.
I checked the walkthrough and in the section on Arindale look up #8 The
Great Tower and check the last paragraph where it mentions the lockdown
and the 'Way of the Tiger' quest.

Yes, grabbing a moonstone triggers the lockdown. If you get "tricky" and blaze trails like I did to get the Fargrove Moonbridge runes after the lockdown you can come back to Fargrove all you want...just not by going through the front door...it always seems to lock me out and I dont even talk to the house of the tiger guy...lol...either way, I'm locked out and pissed off so I decide to break into their sewers...hahaha...the storyline was fun but after making my character kinda godlike I just want to see how I can stretch the game...I once killed Ikrella for the ring by using the mountain pass into the Black marsh...it was fun to completely waltz through the trial of elders with maxed resistances but only having access to the Talendor Moon bridge after freeing Davenmors daughter was a real pain in the keister lemme tell ya! So, yes, after the lockdown you can come and go the via Moon bridge all you want...you just have to figure out a way to get the runes for it!
Easy!

Simply visit all the Moonbridges you want before you start off on your escapades! It works!
The South gate has to be open to do the Battlemage quest but I do not yet
know if a rescue must be done first. You can always climb the mountains as
I have done that because the monsters seem to come down from there alot
and I hate to keep them waiting.
