The Strange Case of the Oddly Vanishing & Miraculously Reappearing Sharn Gra-Muzgob

Post by dragon wench »

Today I went into the Balmora Mage's Guild in the hope of training up a bit in Restoration, and thus sought out the infamous necromancer orc, Sharn Gra-Muzgob.
Much to my shock she had utterly vanished! Since I have not yet touched the main quest with this particular character, I was mildly concerned. However, I then recalled I had read it was a bug people sometimes experience. I saved in the mage's guild, quit out of my game, and went off to find the necessary console code.

All ready to insert a clone in the place of the MIA orc, I fired my game back up... walked to the necromancer's customary area.... and there she was... standing in the corner as though she had never left!

So, there was no need for me to mess around with the console after all.

Now, I know it is a documented bug that Sharn sometimes pulls a vanishing act.. but has anyone else ever had her magically evaporate and then reappear again? :D

Do not meddle in the affairs of dragons, for you are crunchy and taste good with ketchup.

*shrug* No idea. I do notice that she seems to be wearing boots of levitation, as she seems to always float off the floor a little.

I've had that happen, too. I've no idea why, but I console'd her in, once, because she was required for a mod quest. Sometime later the original showed up, so I console'd her evil twin back out of Vvardenfell.
To the Righteous belong the fruits of violent victory. The rest of us will have to settle for warm friends, warm lovers, and a wink from a quietly supportive universe.

Morrowind Comes Alive :o
Mag: Don't remember much at all of last night do you?
Me: put simply.... No :D
Mag: From what I put together of your late night drunken ramblings? Vodka, 3 girls, and then we played tic-tac-toe and slapped each other around.

it's PROBABLY because your data didn't load all the way. Sometimes, when something doesn't load (like the model or the graphics itself) looks like it's not there, but it is, even though it's like a pixel which is impossible to click on. It happened to me with Azura's shrine and the whole thing wasn't there, yet it was on my map, and when I left the area and came back, it loaded =)
