I have been able to kill all Guardians except for the Fire Guardian. The major problem I encountered so far is that the only character who can hit the guardian is Prince Thormmell except that my game bug everytime I try that. I downloaded the patches on my desktop but doesn't know how to install them. I would accept any help that will help me kill that resistant guardian. Path to install the patches or the weapons that can hurt the fire guardian or any other help.
Okay, well, the first thing is that the bug with thrommel happens because of the weapon he's using: fragarach, his bastard sword, allows a counter-attack whenever the character wielding it is hit (i.e., takes damage). Monsters that do damage when you attack them (Balor, Salamanders, Flamebrothers, etc.) cause a major problem, because the sword tries to give a counter-attack after you attack and take damage. Long story short, you just can't use fragarach or scather against these sorts of enemies. Sorry.
To hit them, you'll just have to get better gear or something. It's pretty useful to have one or even two characters with several crafting feats in this game, because the gear you find isn't all that hot. You can craft absurdly powerful things, however. That's how most of us deal with the guardians. See my sticky post about item crafting; the intro has details on why it's important. Of course, if you're that far, there isn't much chance you'll be gaining a lot of feats from now on. So... go to the welcome wench and bring Spugnoir into your party. Use the console to boost his xp, and level him up, making sure he gets item crafting feats and the requisite spells. Have him craft whatever you need, then dump him from the party. (If you don't know how to use the console, try a search or come back and ask for more details.)
The official patches are easy. Just double-click them. They'll install themselves. Other patches vary. Temple.zip involves replacing the file "temple.dll" with the new one and adding three folders to your game's "data" folder. Again, if you don't quite follow I can provide more details later. I don't want to write a ton until I know what patches you're referring to.
Hope all that helps. Let me know if you need any more help.

Oh, and another thing: if you've got the other guardians, then you've got their stones. You should summon them to help you fight the Balor. They help a lot.

It seems at this point that I need to install the patches properly before anything else. I already installed the ``TOEE_USA_ANY-PATCH2.EXE`` by double clicking on it. Now let's talk about the temple.zip patch. when I double click on it, I see a box with the following files in it: data, feat.txt, loot.txt, magic.txt, read.me, temple.dll . What are the next steps to install this patch and is there any other patches required?
In the meantime I will try to defeat the Guardian with the Orb by summoning the other ones like you said. But if I remember well, when I summoned them they don't attack (bug?). So far, only my wizard makes damage to him with spells. My fighters do have good weapons like the Flaming sword the I crafted with the additional Frost and Icy burst feat and I have a masterwork weapon with a crafted feat of +3 and Frost. Maybe the bug will help.
Thank you very much in advance for the additional help that you will provide me.

Okay, temple.zip is really easy. All you need from the .zip is a file called "temple.dll" and the contents of the "data" folder. In your game's directory, there should be a "temple.dll" file and a "data" folder already. Replace the game's .dll file with the new one. Then take the stuff inside the .zip's data folder and ADD it to the game's data folder. This should be three folders. Thus, you're adding three folders and replacing one file. That's all you need. Once that's done, the fix is in. Solves a lot of problems, but I'm not sure if it helps with the Balor or not.
As for the guardians, I'm not sure there either, since I never summon them myself. I just uber-craft everything. If you read the intro to my item crafting guide, you'll have seen that a well-crafted weapon can do as much as 140 damage on one hit. The guardians are tough, but not tough enough to stand up to that. With a 10th level fighter with gloves of giant strength and weapon focus, you can have a +18 or more to hit with your primary attack, and you'll generally do 30-40 damage with a good weapon. With 2 or 3 characters doing this, even the Balor isn't all that hard.

I've been able to replace my temple.dll file by dragging from .zip to my TOEE temple.dll. At that point the system asked me if I wanted to replace my existing file and I said yes. By the way I'm using XP home edition.
Now when I drag my data file from .zip to TOEE data file, the system ask me if I want to replace the existing file. Because you said ADD in your reply I didn't say yes. Should I replace or really add to the existing file. If I need to ADD, I don't know how to do it.
I think if you say yes to add it'll be okay, but I'm not 100% on that. Don't drag the data folder. Drag the stuff inside the data folder and drop it into the other data folder.
