Hello, a friend suggested this gameing site to me, and first before i Beg for help, I'd like to say it's a great and informful Place.
Now with my problem, I Finaly broke down after getting killed over and over by these umber Hulks in de'Arnise Keep, to look at a cheat sheet or walkthrew. On the one at this site it says place the dog meat stew in room #2 on the map. Well first i tried to send a hasted Char to run past and place the stew in that room, but he would never get that far before they Confused him/her. Then i use my theif to sneak past and drop the stew. But when i drop it the Hulks dont move. i try to lure them in and get my theif killed. So is there a place in room #2 i need to drop it, or what?
Thanks

Help with De'Arnise Keep's Umber Hulks
Don't bother with the dog stew. Just have your thief open the door with your party out of sight. Then have him hide in shadows behind the door, ready to close it. Then just have your mage cast a cloudkill into the center of the room and run back out of line of sight. Finally, have the thief close the door. Wait a minute..... and you have dead umber hulks.

Presauming it is the right Room #2 part of the floor is a container. It already contains two sets of dog bones. 'Drop' the pot in there. You should immediately get a message about experience. Depart by taking the long way around and shut all the doors leading to the cells (two). Done. You can then kill the hulks at your leisure, or not at all. - Curdis

My favourite way is to use cleric. Cast Sanctuary, then walk through the door (make sure other members of your party are away from the Umberhulks' sight). Unless you provoke, the Umberhulks will ignore you, so you just send the cleric in, put the stew, then walk out from the other side of the corridor (because Umberhulks will run to their food). Shut both doors to the corridor.
You have just enough time to do this, but if you are worried, take the potion or haste before the Sanctuary to run through.
