A lot of questions.

Post by Thomas »

Where is the jade hound figurine located? (Not the moondog figurine from the Ranger quest)

How does one go around to get the hive druid to give you the quest for the Spider Bane? I can't reach the house where it is located, a door behind the prison in the governement district, and I have a hard time getting to her without killing the spiders. Must one ally with Bodhi to access this quest?

How does one get access to the Dagger+4 Lifestealer?

Have any played trough the game as a Mageslayer? Is it simply a waste of time to use that kit?

How does one trigger Haer'Dalis quests? (Not the quest to get him but his own personal quests. I know one starts them by talking to the innkeeper at the Five Flagons Inn but after that nothing happens. Perhaps it just takes a lot of time?)

Where does one get hold of the Summon Nishruu spell?

A lot of questions but I know this is the best place to go for answers. ;-)

Most spells you find are random, I think. I found Nishruu early on, possibly upstairs in Galen Bayle's house?
That reminds me, I never found a spell trigger scroll. Any suggestions anyone?
I haven't played a mageslayer, but I would think it almost certainly was a waste of time. It's not very much magic resistance. And by the time you're actually hitting a mage, they're usually toast anyway. So the spell failure abilitiy wouldn't be that great, I think. And of course that's a huge penalty you're paying.
Don't know any of the other's, sorry. The only +4 dagger I am aware of is in Ust'Natha, but I don't think that's the one you're looking for.

I hate to repeat my questions like this but these things really bugs me. I hate to not being able to find all the areas and items that's in a game. It makes me feel dumb and unimaginative.

Though I do respect the mystery these kinds of things add to the game it's very frustrating to not find any eggs at easter so to speak. :-(

I don't think Spider's Bane is available. When I imported one from BG1, it turned into a Harbringer. Can anyone confirm if it's even in Shadowkeeper?

I have never seen Lifestealer in the game, only Boneblade but I belive it's in Shadowkeeper so I'm not sure about that one.

I don't know about any quests for Haer'dalis beyond getting him. Most NPC quests trigger automatically.

Summon Nishruu is pretty common. Not sure where I have picked them up though.

I haven't tried playing as a mageslayer, but they don't sound that good. Monks get 3x the magic resistance and even paladins (with Carsomyr) get more.

Thank you for responding so soundly Nighthawk and Jurosementalistile. I have posted these questions on a multitude of messageboards now and come up with the following information, due to answers and own research.

The Spiders Bane +2 was supposed to be in the game as a quest reward for helping the halfdrow hivedruid (the "spiderqueen" in the large domed nest with all the spiders under the graveyard) to fend of some exterminators, found in through the door above the prison in the governement district.

The Dagger +4 lifestealer was supposed to have been in the game on a feller named Artemis Entreri, archnemesis of Drizzt. He was not included in the game as far as anyone knows.

The certain location of the Nishruu spell is on Lethanian(?) the evil innkeeper at the Copper Coronet.

Apparently Haer'Dalis quests have not been included in the game, for some odd reason.

The strength of a mageslayer lies not in his magic resistance but in the cumulative spell failure his blows gives rise to. Apparently this strength is formidable indeed.

The whereabouts of the jade hound figurine remains a mystery.
