Question about Divine Fury
Question about Divine Fury
Has anyone tried taking Divine Fury? I was just wondering if its as good as Enflame (does comparable dmg on the same level, lets you scoop up easy will xp and so on). I am playing a "good" druid, so I thought Divine Fury would fit my style better. Thank you for your input.
I personally like devine fury, used it alot when i was surrounded..i think its more powerfull then the enflame thing, but i dont know that for sure, depends on the level u have i guess?
Seeing as Devine Fury is an 'epic' spell I would think it stronger than enflame. But as I've said before, have yet to play this game so I could be wrong.

To answer my own question - I tried taking Divine Fury yesterday (thankfully saved the game before that) and, my god, was I disapponinted!! I dont know about higher lvls, but at first lvl the spell didn't seem to do almost ANYTHING! I mean, Enflame even at lvl 1 not only damages opponents but also stuns and throws them back. With DF I just kept producing a feeble column of blue light in front of me while the bandits dismembered me at leisure. Not for me. I am a powergamer.

Agreeable. XPs of enemies being killed by Devine Fury seemed to be less... I don't know why. And it takes quite some time to cast and I suppose you're exposed to attack while you're casting it. The damage is high, mana drain is relatively high too.
How civilian-friendly is Infernal Wrath and Enflame? My Battle Mage has both Force Push and Devine Fury. When I have followers and am surrounded by enemies, casting Devine Fury will kill only my enemies but Force Push will knock off my followers as well. What about Infernal Wrath and Enflame?

No idea about Infernal Wrath (never used it), but Enflame doesnt damage civilians. I used it when saving the boy from the cave all the time at lvl 3 - the hobbes dropped very quickly without ever hitting me once and the boy didnt get fried. Didnt hurt traders either (dont know about henchmen, might affect them?). Anyway Enflame sure rocks! Very quick cast and stunning effect. Shame about Divine Fury though, it couldve been much cooler than it is now.
Infernal Wrath is exactly the same as Divine Fury, only with different animations and colors. It's the same attack though. Enflame will damage anyone within range, Divine Fury/Infernal Wrath only damages enemies. And yes, you are exposed while casting those spells, but the highest level, at least with me, can take out four, full-health, Black-clothed guards. The strongest ones. As you can see here:

It constantly takes awat 20 damage, for however long the spell is cast. That, of course, depends on the level of the spell.

Does it mean that to get to 500 dmg of Enflame at max lvl you have to cast DF for 25 seconds? Thats a long time, how do you prevent being interrupted? I suppose popping Physical shield on is an option...

Yea, I've just started using Physical Shield now that I use Infernal Wrath a lot now. It doesnt take 5 seconds to charge up the attack, but it lasts a lot longer than 5 seconds (Or so it seems). While casting the spell, you are impervious (immune) to attacks, mainly because any enemy that walks into the ring of the spell, get's caught in it, and gets their life drained.
