Hi, I'm new to the forum. I recently bought KotR for Xbox and so far am enjoying the game quite a lot. However, I seem to have gotten myself in a bind on Manaan in the Hrakert Station's Kolto Control area. I triggered the depressurization by talking to the two people behind the force field. After trying and failing to stop it by using the computer (I didn't have enough spikes), I just ran out of the area. Now, almost as soon as I enter the area, I die. I have no saves (auto or manual) to go back to before triggering the depressurization. Is there a way to fix this, or must I start the entire game over again?
Any help would be much appreciated.
Blain

I know you left an email message, but perhaps for the benefit of the board I will post here instead...
I do believe that you have to restart. Although I thought the timer stopped when you left the room... then again, that is your problem...
I think you are screwed. So sorry.
Spoiler, how to finsih--> I found it easier to try and convince the people on the other side of the field. Go up and talk to them if you get there... use your autosave, or quicksave, if you use that function.

Buy a GameBanshee T-Shirt HERE! Sabre's site for Baldur's Gate series' patches and items. This has been a Drive-by Hilling.
I always just bashed the forcefield until it was annihilated. Less elegant perhaps, but it shouldn't last too long.
If there's no autosave anywhere then I agree with hill, I don't think there's any other way around the problem. In future you should save in multiple slots. Sorry I don't have better news .

Yeah, bashings the way I always go too. Even when I've been absolutely terrible with my lightsaber I was still able to get through. As for whether or not you're screwed Blain, sorry, but you might be... you have to go through that room and if you die as soon as you enter it then you'll probably have to start over.
The only thing I can think of that might help you is that I seem to recall there being two entrances into that building, maybe if you try coming in the other way (assuming that I'm remembering correctly) you might get a different outcome, but I kind of doubt it.
