The Solus Greatsword

Post by Draems »

I am sorry if this has already been asked, but I couldn't get the search feature to work. In the walkthrough it says that the Solus Greatsword is purchased from a merchant in Bowerstone North. However, I cannot find this merchant, do I have to complete a quest or do something before he appears?

As far as I know, it should just be there. It costs an awful lot of money though.

My husband restarted his game last night and the first thing he did when he was able to get into N. Bowerstone was buy the sword. Though it does not have an xp modifier, it's better than the Tear of Avo, imo.

IIRC, it's the merchant in the yellow building (well, yellow on the mini-map).

If you have the patience, you can get that sword as a gift from Lady Grey if you've married her. Just make her happy and she'll give it to you.

Thanks, I thought I had checked that store, evidently not :)
I don't think I will even buy it anymore though, as it doesn't have the experience augmentation that my Avo's Tear does.
I exposed Lady Grey instead of marrying her, so I don't think she will be sending any gifts my way any time soon :)
I wouldn't imagine that you could install your own augmentation in the Solus Greatsword, could you?

I hope they add trade-professions or something in Fable 2, where you can craft your own weapons or something :)

/agree

I would love to be able to create my own weapons and armor and stuff. Armor with health aguments, can you imagine?

I think I'd be happy if they just gave more variety in augments, though. You know, like including mana and xp augments you can add to whatever weapon you want, or even making it so there is a more noticeable effect from a damage augment. The only case I have seen this would be silver vs. balverines, so it'd be nice to know your choices are really affecting the mob you're up against.

Another interesting profession idea would be allowing you to scribe your own scrolls, possibly in exchange for gold or a lesser amount of XP than you can purchase the stat upgrades with.

you can get the sword by entering bowerstone north (from bowerstone south) and just head straight forward. it costs a hell of a lot, about 80,000 i think so i recommend having your guile all the way up. it does look pretty cool though and it has pretty good augmentations

Lol, why do you guys allways say that 80.000 gold for the Solus Sword is incredible much money???

I found out a way to get loads of gold, all I have to do a few things:

1. Buy al stones in a shop (like Ruby, Sapphire, Diamant, ect)
2. Then just simply sell them again, you should have a profit of 300+
3. Be sure to buy them again, so you can get lots of gold later on when ur short again.

The more stones you have, the cheaper it will be to buy them and you will get more profit.

(if you don't have much money like I first had, start with buying and selling meat and other stuff, that's how I started, but you know...you allways will try to get bigger money)
