Rotating character view?

Post by MistyDP »

Just started playing VTM, I haven't discovered a way to roatate the view of your character (so you can see the front of her). Is that possible?

An excellent question. I was just wondering the same thing myself. I always assumed the image in the Character view was it, but she isn't me - she's wearing the wrong clothes. I never noticed it before, because I was always wearing the default outfit when I was in that screen. I only recently deviated from that practice. I think the only time you get a face view of yourself is when you A) open up Grout's bed-chamber, and get a view of yourself from his wife's hologram, or B) Walk in on Lacroix when he is talking to the Primogen. I have, however, heard whispers on this forum about some kind of console tweak that can alter your POV. That might be what you're looking for.

Duhh. Silly me. There are two obvious ways that you can get a rotating character view and find out what you look like. 1) When you are feeding on a rat, you can rotate the character view and see yourself. 2) When you are dancing, you can rotate the character view and see yourself. My humblest apologies. I knew about these, but they slipped my mind, which is apparrently very greasy these days.

Get to your Quest Log. Between the Quest Log and your Character Sheet, you have Info. There, I can see the front of my character with its clothes.

The one in the Info sheet is the same one in the Character View. It's a overlay, and not necessarily you.
