Anomen love affair annoying

Post by Salome34 »

I like having Anomen in the group, but I find it irritating that the only choices are being totally rude to him or being nice and he comes on to my character. Then, after Windspear a messenger shows up and Anomen goes off the avenge his father. When I go to get him at Saerks place in the Bridges dist. the only choice I have is to pledge undying love or he runs off to sulk over his sins. So I let him go. Is there any other way to keep him? The NPCs you have to choose from in this game are very limited. Is there any other way to create my own NPCs? I find all these little in party intrigues irritating when all I want to do is go adventuring.

Check out the Crossroads Sticky.

There are many mods out there that allow you to add different NPCs to your game.

Here is one good site to look at:
http://modlist.pocketplane.net/index.ph ... &cat_id=12

Also: http://www.chosenofmystra.net/

As far as I remember, you don't need to romance Anomen to keep him in your group, but I suggest doing a search under his name, you might find some answers there.

Hope Dragon Wench doesn't mind to much but this Chosen of Mystra link might be a bit more helpful. It is to a topic that lists all NPC mods and romances, both available and in production, and what sites to download them from.

It is being constantly updated too.

lol! Why would I mind? That is one of the most comprehensive lists I've seen! The link should probably be posted in the Crossroads Sticky actually.

Kivan is good, Tsujatha is better :D

Okay, it's pretty subjective ;)

Seriously, there are lots of great romance/friendship mods around for anyone interested, and they are sufficiently diverse to please a variety of tastes.

EDIT
@Salome, I just read your post again. If you don't want to bother with the NPC quests (many NPCs require you to do quests with them), you could also try creating a game in multiplayer mode. That way, you can simply roll your own party.

IMO, it are the NPCs and their "personalities" and backgrounds that make this game so good, but, as you say, some prefer to just go adventuring without them. Creating your own party (or going solo), is a way around the issue.

It's probably time for a good "which NPC mod is best?" thread. I think I'll start one. ;)

And I agree: that thread at Chosen of Mystra is excellent, and should be in our BG2 Crossroads sticky.

Hey guys, I'm back from the murky depths of real-life hell! I swear, it's been two years too long!

Hey DW! What's happening, Sister Sledge? Miss me?

I've got one big question...

Is there any way this romance thing can be broken down into a graph or a list of some sort? You know, like who can get paired up with who and such... ;) I can't seem to remember all of it. Thanks! :D

I can see the ties for the last comment, but I did remove one that was really off-topic. Please, when you have a new question to post, start a new thread. Thanks. :)
