Viable ToB solo classes

Post by ajpc »

My solo archer, my favorite character, who had such an easy time through SoA, got his ass handed to him in ToB. Very disappointing :( .

So, which classes have you guys soloed ToB with? I know some of you have succeeded with a sorceror, although I'm sure it couldn't have been easy. I prefer pure mages however, for roleplaying reasons, but do they have enough firepower to beat ToB?

Share your experience/strats/tips. Thanks!

I've soloed with both the (standard) Kensai/Mage and with a multiclass gnome Illusionist/Thief. Soloing with the Illusionist/Thief is amazing and I highly recommend it to anyone who wants a challenge. I haven't finished TOB with her yet, but parts of Watcher's Keep (e.g. the third level with it's magical dead zones) are giving her fits.
