Question about Spellhold in BG@...Possible SPOILER

I want to add Imoen to my party in the Spellhold dungeon, but if I do I'll have to drop a party member. Am I to assume that if they are left there that I will never be able to see them again? I feel kinda bad about leaving Nalia in that place all alone.

If you decide to drop someone then they will usually ask you if you want them to stay there or go somewhere else (in most cases this is the copper coronet) so you can meet them later.

Unless of course if you leave then in Spellhold (or a bit further ahead) then they can't return to Athkatla and areas thereabout. IIRC it is in chapter 4+5 - so if you want to drop a party member - then do it before going to spellhold (if you plan on taking/talking to them again that is

Imoen is why the BG2 designers created Yoshimo; you take him to Spellhold, he leaves the party and, viola! you just "happen" to have an extra slot for Imoen to fill.
