I have run into a new problem: This is the first full game I have played through after installing the new v1.8 patch. I previously installed the "official" v1.2 patch and everything seemed to be going well, with the newest patch.
I have noticed now, that regardless of which option I choose, when speaking to Heather, I cannot get her to change her appearance. No matter how many times I leave the scene, re-enter, or even leave the town and come back later...I cannot get her to change her appearance.
Any suggestions or has anyone else encountered this?

I had similar trouble with Heather during my first run-through (no patch). It fixed itself after a few tries although I was never able to get the goth version during that game. Maybe the change is random and she just keeps picking the gold outfit?

Actually, Lady Lithium, that is an excellent postulate. The odds of picking 1 out of 1-3 30 times in a row are bad, but far from impossible. I've won every coin toss I've ever been party to for 15 years. Either I'm psychic, or I just happened to guess right about 20 times in a row, at odds of about 1 in a million.
There is also the RNG. If it is random, certain seed values make the RNG far less random. It is perfectly possible to seed a pseudo-RNG such that it always returns the same value. Frankly, you might have just explained about 99% of the inexplicable 'bugs' reported here.

Random seed
a thread with both naked Heather and seed sounds a bit, well, "seedy".
I find her Goth garb rather fetching. leather/pvc bustenhalter reminds me of something pleasurable.
It is a shame that she doesn't have that white dress like the girl at Asylum though or do a clothes swap with Venus.

Naked Heather
OK - so I haven't actually seen her naked on-screen but there are always there urban myths about such options and I wanted to know if anybody shared my pervy tastes...
she's got to be at least as fit as Laura Croft.
I find the US prurience about nakedness very puzzling - American TV shows have violence galore and yet a partially-revealed breast incurs massive fines - our shampoo/soap adverts show more with no comment. I suppose it is the western equivalent of the Taliban - OK to maim and murder, morally repugnant to show some of the flesh God made beautiful (OK, so silicone dolls are out!). Sheesh, the world is a Malkavian paradise.
Anyhow, clothing can enhance rather than detract appeal. Figure that out.

i've found that if i want her to change clothes it has to be the only thing i ask her to do that entire visit. if i ask her to do two things, like get rid of the guy i just fed off and change her clothes, she doesn't change her clothes.

I think you may be on to something there, as I am still having the same issue that I originally posted; however, I did enter the area with no other intention of trying to get Heather to change, and then asked her to change (using one option), then left the area and returned, and it was done.
It appears (at least it did to me) that the option that says, "I am hoping for a pleasant surprise," works vs. the other one. I tried , "see that you do," but that didn't lend any results.
