**SPOILER** Dagoth Ur - Anti-climatic

Post by Dyre Straits »

I sort of felt the battle with Dagoth Ur was rather anti-climatic. I say that because, it just wasn't very difficult to defeat him at all. I expected much, much more in the way of summons and such from him.

Essentially, all I had to do was hover above the wooden foot bridge and cast my own summons spells to keep him busy and then fly down and do the business on the heart. It was over in like, 5 minutes.

Now, I know I'm supposed to return to the god, Vivec. However, I suspect he's going to want me to give up these enhanced 'tools' and, being that they are the root of all the evil that has befallen Morrowind, I'm not so sure I'll surrender them. (Dyre says, while showing a sly grin and thinking of being all-powerful. )

I honestly think that the battle with Dagoth Ur could have been a bit more interesting (like if he had taken some last, desperate measure like friggin pansy Darth Malak in KOTOR), but overall I think it was pretty good.

Here's an idea to keep you busy: Download "ten times difficulty slider" from morrowind summit, and set the difficulty to 50. Even if you summon every creature you can think of, I assure you that you will not be bored and it will take alot more than 5 minutes.
Get up, stand up. Come on, throw your hands up.
If you've got the feeling, Jump across the ceiling.

That sounds very interesting. I may do that at some time in the near future. As for the moment, I've been putting off other games in order to complete this one. While I know I can continue my journey and experiences in Morrowind, I'm really looking forward to spending some time now on other games and will likely proceed with BloodMoon and Tribunal.

What I'm REALLY looking forward to is OBLIVION. :)
