Stuck with no key

Post by Ertai »

I killed Mae'Var, and I talked to Gaelan and Renal, but I still can't open to door that goes to the Aran Linvail's area. When I talked to Gaelan, he said I needed to use the key, but I don't have any key...

Thanks for any help.

To get into Aran Linvail's area you need to have paid Galen the money.

Have you :) ? - Curdis !

I'm guessing it has, because it is mentioning the key dialogue.

Number one is where you must first go through a hidden door.

Number three is another hidden door. Open that, walk down the extremely long corridor, and eventually you'll find your man at number 4.

It might be possible to pickpocket Gaelan for the key, if he's supposed to have given it to you already and has failed to do so.
That, or use the CLUA Console to create a key (don't know how you would do that though).

Ertai,

If you have paid to Gaelan and received the key, but cannnot find it, you could have;

a. been pickpocketted at some point

b. misplaced it at somewhere (have you keep your staff in a house or container? you might put the key in there)

c. been confused/scared and run around and dropped it. IF you are scared by either spell (like fear or confusion) or by near death experience (during battle, your pc/npc could be terrified when their HP dropped too low), you could run around in fear. And often they drop their equipments.

Stramoski, where would I enter that into? How would I reach the CLUA console?

BTW: I assume the CLUA console would also be the place to enter in SK generated items?

Just use SK.

Fl,

When I use SK, it gives me an assortment of numbers and letters, which I assume represent that particular item, and then when I press "Ok" it says it has been stored in the overide file.

Go to the inventory tab, click on a empty box that is your backpack (not armor, helmet, etcetera). Click add item, scroll down to keys and look for shadow thieves key or something similar, click it, read the description to make sure it is the key your looking for, then double click the key and it will show it in your inventory. Save, load up the game, and try it.

P.S. Dont extract it, that isnt what you do, just double click it.
