I have noticed something which still seems a little strange to me. You see, in the Sabbat house in the King's Way, there is a statue just like the two status which are standing outside the Ventrue Tower! It just makes me wonder...

I noticed those as well and had the same little twinge of suspicion. There are also two smaller versions in Therese's room (in Asylum), but in both cases I just chalked it up to coincidence and decorative art.

I think that there are other places where they appear too.

the game has a lot of clues built in, when looked at with hindsight.

If you have high perception, when you speak to "Nines" at Dr Grout's mansion, you have a dialogue option along the lines of 'you don't seem yourself - and I think that there may be a line in the report to laCroix that it 'looked like Nines' as well.
I have said elsewhere about the mysterious email that you get through the game - telling you what is happening in broad terms - Ming is the black queen and Bach is the white bishop if memory serves.
some people suggest that Jack set up the PC with the werewolf, but I doubt it. laCroix asks you to remove werewolf blood from the hospital early in the game - at the time it seems like a side-quest with no relevence, but when you and Nines are set upon by wolfie, it does not seem a coincidence. LaCroix probably does need allies against the Quai-jin, but removing Nines from the equation through a werewolf makes it less likely that he will be challenged for power after he gets the key back, with or without the assistance of the anarchs. having got the box and knowing who has the key, may make the PC surplus to requirements - especially as the PC has continually grown in strength. LaC also knows that the PC may not be entirely loyal which also gives grounds to want the PC out of it.
Jack knows where the PC is and has anticipated LaC's move so takes the PC to safety and arranges for the taxi to wait out of sight.
I usually enjoy the Blood Hunt - pretty big XP reward for so little effort. most enemies can be stealth killed along the way or in melee using disciplines.
It would be helpful to know about the sheriff beforehand - that creature is pretty astounding and if the sheriff had any backup, you'd probably not get to the final roof-top encounter where tactics come into play.
