Hi all,
This is just a follow-up to my question about being attacked in the stores in Luskan.
I've been playing around with ideas and I decided to update, but that didn't fix it.....then I remembered that I killed this guy called Deltagar Zhelhund on 7th floor and it shifted my alignment towards evil. So I loaded a saved game, didn't kill him and went back to stores....... and waddaya ya know - problem fixed!!! No more getting attacked by crazed shop owners hehehehe.
My question is....... how did that affect the game? Was it the fact that I shifted too far in the wrong direction? (I'm 'neutral good' and when I was getting attacked I had shifted to 'neutral 50 neutral 40'). OR was it just the fact that I assaulted the wrong guy?
Alignment question....possible spoiler
its not because you were evil as i have played the original campaign so many times as a chaotic evil character and found interaction in shops no different to now when i am a lawful good character. i also got the alignment shift after killing that guy but don't know if that altered the shops at all because i never went back to them afterwards, i just went to the temple using the special stone thing that takes you there. i do know there are a few bugs in luskan though cos i have had it before where i was no able to do any of the minor quests as it would not recognise the fact that i had accepted to do them. yet other times playing it i have no bugs at all in luskan.

I've got similar experience from that place. Everybody in the Cutlass started attacking me and my henchman one time. I'm pretty sure it was because I killed someone I shouldn't have killed.

I think it happens if you kill someone you shoulden't as I killed a nurse in the Core district and everyone apart from the main NPC's had a free for all with me. When I tried to bump off various people in other locations,I had the same response.I don't think it matters if your good or bad but when you kill the NPC's it does shift you towards evil.
While I send my enemies to heaven,I remain in hell
