Which specialist wizard is best?

I already have a sorcerer in my party who will act as a bomber, so I'm looking for a really good wizard specialty.

If you've got an evocation specialist then I'd go for either Conjurer or Enchanter (both lose spells from the Evocation school)

Have this wizard take Greater Spell Focus in Enchantment, Transmutation and Necromancy and you'll be laughing

An enchanter misses out on necromancy spells, not evocation, according to the manual.

I'm afraid your manual is wrong - I've got IWD2 on at the moment so I stopped my current game and quickly created an Elven Enchanter.

My first level spell picks included: Chill Touch, Ray of Enfeeblement and Larloch's Minor Drain (all Necromancy)

I couldn't select: Magic Missile or Chromatic Orb (Evocation)
