I noticed something very peculiar. When you acheive light/dark mastery and then slightly go back by doing good/bad deed you can never acheive mastery again although it is clear that alignment is all the way up/down.
Is this a bug?
One time light/dark mastery?

Possible spoilers in this post and the posts following.
Really? I never noticed this. It would make sense if it was that way, I guess, since to be a master you can not really fall, or the like...
If it is a bug, it is not one that has popped up before. It is more likely geared towards making sure that players do not try to remain neutral and then shoot up at the end of the game to the lightside/darkside to easily defeat Kreia.

Really? I could swear that I have dropped from DS mastery by accident when trying to gain influence to train handmaiden to a jedi and then gone and forced soem people to fall on my lightsaber 37 times... and voila! I was a DS master once more, although in my current game, i am not at DS mastery but some of my people are... i got confused off of that, still am come to think of it.

Net shift in alignment of some sort? Perhaps you just have to work extra hard on characters that began to fall/repent.

No, its handmaiden, for seom reason, i am about one dark choice away from being a DS master, but she, a normally light person, is all dark with the dark background and all that, i know i have had a character who was all dark, then i lost influence and they jumped up, then i gainded and the came back to DS mastery, and i am pretty sure it is just me...
@ androgenik: try looking for some glitches that give you infinite dark and light side points, and test to see if what ever your alighnment is cannot advance anyfurther, i have it so clsoe it looks like it but its jsut not quite there yet, if it still doesnt do it, then maybe tis jsut a bug...

I agree with xandax here, your game probably just hit a bug, it may be a common bug but some people dont notice it, or you can take satisfaction in knowing that your game is special!
Its not all important to have a mastery, although it does help, good luck with your game.

Bear in mind that when you have Mastery, a single deed of the opposite alignment will produce a fairly major shift, such that it will take 4-6 deeds of your 'right' alignment to undo the shift, in my experience. It's easy to never quite get your mastery back if you mange to do a 'wrong' deed every 4 times or so...
