There are a string of things you must do to get in to the forbidden lands. Pick up where you left off.
Talk to king of rothan (?) in Bolen fields. He's located right in the middle of that area by some tents, you can't miss him
He will send you to see the barmaid in fargrove inn.
Barmaid will send you to harrow ruins to save Mara
Save Mara and she will give you a letter to take to Vartaugg in Skulldoon.
vartaugg will let you pass through the gate. D
