Graphical Problem in Umar Hills Temple Ruins 2

Post by Sayne »

In the first underground level of the Temple Ruins (Umar Hills quest) the background seems to have disappeared in my game, the same happens for the werewolf cave (are #1 on Game Banshee's map of the Temple 1 http://www.gamebanshee.com/baldursgatei ... uins1.php). I can see the characters but they appear to be walking on a black background. I can also see the lava at map point 5 (http://www.gamebanshee.com/baldursgatei ... uins2.php).
I have set all the graphics settings to as low as possible but the problem persists. I have a radeon x800 which should have no problem with this game.
I am currently reinstalling BG2 to see if that fixes the problem.
Has anyone else had this problem or know how to fix it (if a reinstall doesn't work?) Thanks

Two Options:
a) Make sure your resolution is in the 'supported section' (800x640 or lower).
b) Your drivers. People have said after updating drivers they have had problems, the only way to fix it is to roll back your drivers.
In memorian: Fiona; Ravager; Lestat; Phreddie; and all of those from the 1500 incident. Lest we forget.
