Spoiler: Side w/Bohdi, and keep Mazzy?

Post by CFM »

I want to play BG2 a second time, as a bad guy (Fighter/Mage with Korgan, Viconia, Edwin, Yoshimo/Imoen, and ???), and this time side with Bohdi instead of the Shadow Thieves.

I understand that, out of the three evil NPCs, the most party interaction happens between Korgan & Mazzy. So I was planning on having Mazzy fill out the final spot.

But I also understand that she will leave the party if you do the 'evil' route. I did a forum search for "Bohdi" & "Mazzy", and this indeed seems to be the case (Keldorn too).

Is there any way to side with Bohdi, and still keep Mazzy in the party?

Alternately, is there another NPC that has similar amounts of interaction with the evil trio of NPCs? Not including Keldorn, Minsc, Jaheira, or Aerie. I used them in my first game.

Please keep in mind: I do NOT care to have the strongest party (any combination of dudes is strong enough imo), I only care to have the most interactions. Thanks.
Why is it that whenever I finally get around to playing a new game for the first time,
I feel like playing Baldur's Gate for the second time...

Jan Jansen would be your best bet, I believe that his level of (un-modded) interaction with Korgan is second only to Mazzy.

Although if you plan on keeping Imoen (who doesn't really fit into an evil party) you'll find that he duplicates many of her roles.
Is there any way to side with Bohdi, and still keep Mazzy in the party?
Yes. Remove Mazzy from your party, go and accept Bodhi's offer, go back to Mazzy and take her in again. As long as your rep doesn't become too low there shouldn't be any problems, even if you do the missions Bodhi gives you.

Thanks Coot, I was hoping it was as easy as that. For playing a second time, I really want to be a bad guy, and go the Bohdi route, and hang with the evil yahoos, and still include Mazzy with Korgan. Just reform the party, kick her out, talk to Bohdi, have her rejoin, continue Chapter 2, Bohdi's quests, and the rest of the game. Cool.
