Chapter 6 problem (Spoiler)

After I exited the underdark, I was attacked by harpers after leaving Elhan and he and the rest of the elves there turned hostile. So I ran because I tried fighting my way out earlier and all they did was kill me with some wicked spells. So I ran and piddle around in the city, got the lantern needed and headed back. Everone is there as I left them and I can't complete that part of the quest. Please help I will do whatever I can not to start over.

I had a vaguely similar problem when me characters whacked dominated elves... have you tried going back to your last save in the underdark and going through without the AI on? If none of your characters hit anyone, nobody else should turn hostile, I believe.

Already tried that

I already tried exiting the underdark several times, every time I get done talking to Elhan, those dang Harpers come and start the mess, could I just use domination or something on the elves?

I had that problem at least once, you should hopefully be able to just avoid attacking the hostile Harpers and just exit the map. If you don't retaliate against them then the elves shouldn't think you're attacking their own and go hostile.
Either that or it's possible if the Harpers go hostile within the sight of the elves, they follow suit. If so, try taking a different exit out of the area. If I remember correctly the Harpers weren't around once I returned to the elves.

have you tried using invisibility to just get past the harpers unseen so then they don't attack?

So far

Well I have been back a few times to try and solve this but the elves are already hostile and I will approach with Imoen in the shadows and I can scout stuff out. I have even managed to lure away the Harper mage and kill him. Domination and charm doesn't work on the elves because there saves are too high. I am at the point of cheating just so I dont have to do all the underdark stuff again and bodhi lair again.

Last night I replayed through the Underdark and got to the Elven Camp. I was able to cast haste on my party before exiting. When I got done with all the talking I made a dash for the exit. Right as I was about to travel, here came the Harpers. I forgot to mention it was Reviana, so I tried a different path in talking to her and she did not attack but took out story to the Harpers and NO ELVES WENT HOSTILE. SO WOOHOO! Thank you all for your help, I should of thought about just talking my way out before, but what are ya gona do? Thank you all again.
