Hey demon_pride
Hit the 'Z' key to lock the camera view to fix your first problem.
To unlock a chest click on the icons in the lower bar as the red meter on the upper bar reaches the corresponding icon. Increase the skill 'inspect' to be able to see the icons on the upper bar. Increase the skill 'disarm trap' to slow down the speed the red meter crosses the upper bar. Save in front of a chest and reload reopen it a couple of times to get the hang of it. D

thank you for the quick response. im new to this game not all types like this but im glad thety finally made a game were you have to earn the treassure in a manner that suits it. not having to be a thief and disarming traps is a nice addition.

Another trap/lock trick...

Go into C:\Program Files\Dreamcatcher\interface\traps\

Use a graphic editor such as Jasc Paint Shop Pro to colorize each of the different icons as a different color tint. Only give them a slight color tint... This will help solve the traps/locks alot easier.

Note: There are two sets of the images... There is a

devGD08.bmp = DEVGD_bw08.bmp
DEVGD_bw00.bmp = DEVGD_clr00.bmp
DEVGD_bw01.bmp = DEVGD_clr01.bmp

You'll have to eye ball some of the pictures to match them up, but make sure you tint them the same color as their co-part...
