Where is High Watcher Ossig? SPOILERS

Post by Lasher »

So I waited awhile before going to recieve the Eye quest, I went down to the sewers to snatch HD, to make some money for some goods, first. I came up, and was ambushed by the Acid Kensai... I ended up ditching, and beat feet to the docks to upgrade my katana. Now that I'm ready for Kagnaxx, I needed to go down into the beholder lair, but Ossig wasn't in the helmite temple...
Any solutions would be great, and I don't have clua set up (too cheesy), but if thats the only way to bring him back, I suppose I'll be looking around for instructions to set ip the clua console.
Thanks.

have you checked the entire temple. sometimes (at least in my games) the guys in the temples have a tendency to wander off into side rooms etc.

Hi Lasher. Haven't seen you around in a while...

Anyway, normally once you enter the Temple District and continue foward you should have a cut-scene with Gaal and a meeting with whatever temple seeks your help. As far as I knew, you had to pass that cutscene to get to a Temple Sewer entrance in the first place.
That cut-scene needs to run first if it hasn't already.

Oisig doesn't normally go walkabout he usually stays in front of the main door IIRC. And what's the Acid Kensai you mention? Is it from a mod? If so, that might be causing the problem.

Acid Kensai is from a mod, but that is highly unlikely it is causing the problem, as I played through fine.

Rav is correct about the sewers however. You can enter the sewers per se, however you cannot go to the next map where the Cult of the Eyeless is. You have to have talked to Ossig first. He should be next to a big sphere in the temple of Helm, provided you have seen that clip.

Hey Rav... Yes, I saw the cut-scene, checked the temple, checked out the sewers unless i already got the mission and forgot... I checked before posting like any good man would do... @ Rav- he does usually stay in the front on the steps, at least the twenty or so times i've talked with him in previous games... He just isn't there. I ended up just hooking up the clua console and inserted my rings of gaxx, seeing as i just needed kag's remains, and yes, i take two from him... *Shame.*

I have problems like that sometimes when using the EoU/multi-stronghold mod...

Could you perhaps have that installed?

I actually found Lathander would reward me, even though Helm had assigned me...

You might check with the other temples...

Then chances are, you are of Lathander Alignment (Lawful Good being most obvious).

If you do have multi-stronghold, the temple that shares your alignment will talk to you, not Helm.

Good Guess... LG I am... I also have the Divine Remix installed, and that might further confuse things, as it also gives based on alignment...

Well, stramoski first thought of the idea. :)

I just remembered it all because I played multi-stronghold recently, and I was surprised to receive the quest from Lathander... but it never really came to me because of that, as my whole game was fraught with errors. Such as entering Chapter 4 before I had even paid Gaelan or Bodhi  :D .

Anyway, glad it was all solved.
