Switching from casting to melee

Okay, I've gotten all the way to the Tomb of Souls only using magic sporadically because I can't for the life of me figure out how to switch from casting mode to melee. Being a Ninja Lord it doesn't make a huge difference, but I'm starting to throw points into magic schools and I'd sure like to be able to switch back to melee without having to waste a Burning Hands spell or something. Could someone be so kind as to explain this to me?

And before anyone mentions it: Yes I feel like a very dumb newb

Oh for the love of...Q?!?! I must have hit every key but that.

And if you're like me, those keys are not very convenient to use.

Go in the [Options] menu and configure your melee and magic keys to some other keys that are more convenient for you.

For myself, I use [delete], [pg down] above the arrow keys. That way I can switch melee and magic easily while keeping my other hand on the mouse.
