Can't find the Staff of Magi

hi guys i have a big problem i played bg2 for several times but this time i first tried a mage i didn't took a normal mage cause they are too boring i took a sorcerer...
now i looked here on the page which weapons are the best i could take and i have seen the staff of magi...
but i can't find it and i don't know where i have to search in the bridge district
so it would be really glad if you could help me...

You get it from one of the bad guys you kill in the twisted rune, which you enter in the bridge district by using a rogue stone to open a (trapped) locked door on one of the houses.

Careful; that fight is pretty hard for a low level or mid level charector.
