World of Xeen Dos command?

Post by Bugmenot »

I have a copy of the two games, Clouds of Xeen and Darkside of Xeen.
I want to install and play the combined game, World of Xeen.
My problem: although I can install them I need to use the Dos prompt to start the game.
I don't know the correct sequence of prompts to enter.
I did, once....five or six years ago.
Now I've forgotten, and have no idea where to look for such information.
Help, please?

Unless I'm much mistaken, you need DOSBox to play those games on an XP. If you're running 98 or earlier, just drop to DOS, do a directory listing, and find the appropriate COM or EXE to run--maybe XEEN.
To the Righteous belong the fruits of violent victory. The rest of us will have to settle for warm friends, warm lovers, and a wink from a quietly supportive universe.

The only tricky part for DosBox was using the mount command. The readme for DosBox has information on the proper usage of mount. Once you mount your Xeen drive with DosBox, you can start the game with the .exe file. This works on Might and Magic 3 as well as the Xeen games.
I'd rather be part bull than a complete sheep.
