Thieves Guils Quest Help (Possible Spoiler)

Post by Bel Al »

I'm a member of both the Mages Guild and the Thieves Guild. I'm supposed to get this spear from the Mages Guil d to complete this Thieves Guild quest. I don't want to do it thinking I'll get kicked out of the Mages Guild. Any way to get around this?

Is this about the Devil Tanto? (I'm asking, because you mention a spear, and a tanto isn't the same.) Because if so, have you checked it out, yet? I suggest you do this, before assuming you won't be able to get it without being seen.
To the Righteous belong the fruits of violent victory. The rest of us will have to settle for warm friends, warm lovers, and a wink from a quietly supportive universe.

You wont be expelled for killing him, and he attacks you, so your crime wont be reported. :)

If you're on PC there is actually a mod that removes the violent aspect of this quest and makes it more of a stealth mission.

It's the thieves guild job tweak mod - don't know how it plays haven't tested it yet

But it is already a plain stealth mission! What are you doing in Thieves Guild if it ever comes in mind to do this some brutal way? I've never seen reasons to do it other way, and the stealth way is most natural in this case. Even the FG vs. TG first conflict solution in stealth way is less obvious as TG vs. MG in Ald'Ruhn.

Erm ... well in my version of the unmodded game as soon as you set foot in Ald'Ruhn Mages Guild you are attacked and so you have no choice but to kill him, whether you want to or not.

*can admin please delete this post don't know why but when I edited it double posted thanks*

Besides who says that just because you are a member of the thieves guild you have to limit yourself to acting in a stealthy manner. Morrowind is all about freedom of choice, to play the game how you see fit. If I decide my thief has violent tendencies that's how I'll play him.

Go the psyopathic thieves!

Um is it possible to calm and charm the guard so he remains and or talks to you?
