TOB - Buying certain things from carras (SPOILER)

So I read in the gamebanshee equipment section that you could buy certain things from carras (like enkidu's plate or K'logarath the axe). I went into the cave and fought the monks but all carras had was some crappy normal items. Whats the deal?

You meet Sameon Haverian (not sure about the name) in the same village (not in the cave thou) and you have to talk and help him. The way you act towards him and the way you act vs the Carras makes you able to buy the other stuff. I m not sure how you shall act. I missed them the first time i played but got them second time. I´d acted like i didnt know him first and tried to refuse that i knew him. (but it ended up the same way anyway) And when i went to the cave i was quite angry towards Carras but did not overreact.
Hope that helped. But if you missed it you cant get it back if you dont reload and start over...
