Um hey guys I'm new here I thought you could help me out because I was reading around some other threads and it seemed you helped everybody else with your problem so here's a couple of mine:
Before I restored my computer I could play Bloodlines okay but I was having a few troubles so my friend told me to increase my virtual memory..that messed up my computer so I restored it..everything went okay during the restore up until it said please wait while windows starts up..it just stayed there so I started up in safe mode where it said the system is not fully installed and my computer restarted then I ran the setup again and everything worked fine..but no taskbar! I tryed everything but nothing would work so I installed my video card (NVIDIA GeForce FX 5500) when I installed the driver my screen blinked black once and I dont know if thats normal or not so I thought i would throw that in..but I went to my device manager and it said it was configured properly but now when I try to run my game my screen goes black and I have a white blinking underscore every single time..so I have to reboot and when I do windows wont start so I have to go to last known good configuration setting and reinstall my driver and if I try to play again that happens...the blinking underscore that is..any ideas what to do? I just got this game for christmas and I want to play it..If you want to contact me my xfire is marinesniper54 aim is hfx marinesniper or you can post here..I'm sorry for my run on sentences and grammatical errors and the length of this but I REALLY NEED HELP!

Yeah I have tryed reinstalling Bloodlines and I'm getting my computer fixed as soon as I can get some more money so I can get a stick of ram then it's going into a shop so a new hard drive and stick of ram can be put in and all this crap can be sorted out..hopefully everything will be fine then, But something is bound to go wrong in time.

I got through a bit of this (please--not to insult you, but use punctuation; it's easier to follow), and am moving the thread to Tech Support. We've got some regulars there that should be able to help.

Always uninstall the previous driver before installing a new driver.

My best advice would be to do a back up and then format and reinstall Windows, then reinstall (newest) drivers, then the Game and seeing if that fixes the
problem.
It is much easier debugging such a problem as this from a clean windows installation with only minimal additional software installed.

...but completely reinstalling Windows is a daunting task even for the most IT-literate persons with the fastest machines. I currently have a problem that I know can be solved with - and possibly only with - reinstalling Windows, but even so I'm reluctant to.

I know - I hate to reinstall windows myself, but it is sometimes a task which unfortunally has to be done, due to the numerous possibilities of conflicts between various types of software.
I've had problems where my graphic card drivers conflicted with my soundcard drivers in a manner that each time I ran 3D games with sound, my computer rebooted. When I ran 2D games, all was fine, or 3D games withouth sound. Impossible to debug such a problem unless doing so from clean installations, eliminating variations in software.
Or the time when I found Norton Auto Protect causing my computer games to minimize constantly. Or...
It is a jungle of possibilities, and the eliminating of the wildcard factors is the only sure way to debug problems (unless somebody else have debugged it and knows what to do naturally
