original campaign ogre caves 6 huts?

Post by joewigwam »

In Chapter 2 in the 3rd level of the caves on the north road there are 6 hut like buildings. The door to each says locked ordinary door this door has been barred from the other side. 4 of them are in the large area before the boss area and two are in the center of the boss area. Is there a lever to open them or is it something for later in the chapter or do I just bash them open? Thanks in advance.

They serve no purpose as far as I can recall - so just ignore them and move on :)

Most of the houses with "barred from the other side" is just scenary

Yeah, they're for decoration.
Certain caves like the one with the little huts are placed on templates used by module and/or the game designers. While the huts could hold something if someone designed an interior area for them, in this case, there isn't one (much like the barred houses that are inaccessible in Neverwinter).

I'm putting this here because my guess is that it's the same deal. Across from the Green Griffon Inn in chapter 2 there is a barn with nothing inside but 3 oxen and another door. This door is locked with a DC of 100 and can't be bashed open is this another case of 'we scripted a door but not content behind it' or do I need to search for a key

There isn't anything of use behind there as far as I know. Though, usually useless doors give you the 'door is barred' response. And when keys are required, adifferent response again is shown.
