Dex modifier number in red other questions.
My Dex # is listed and then the modifier 4 is listed in red, I've looked around but can't find anything to tell me what this means. Also is it true that I am limited to 20 levels in the OC or is it 40 (I'm at level 11 and want to start multiclassing soon if I only get 20) What would you recommend for me as a multi-class Limited to lawful good align right now who has followed the recommended rogue path throughout.

Dunno about the Dex modifier. But I can answer the other questions.
In the Original Campaign, if you don't have the expansions, then it is 20. However, if you have the expansions, I'm pretty sure it'd let you level to 40.
The rogue path hmmm. It might lower your attack, but if you go illusionist, your defense would be superb. Also, if you go illusionist, go for some area effect spells and have fun sorrouding yourself and blowing them up while you evade
My opinion anyways.

The Dex is probably limited by whatever armour you are wearing. Each armour has a maximum Dex bonus and you may have exceeded it, perhaps you would be getting a 5 instead of a 4 if you were wearing armour that allows a better bonus.
Having Hordes of the Underdark installed does increase the level limit but you're very unlikely to go above 20 in the OC, there just isn't enough experience in the game.
As for the multi-class, it depends how you play your character, would you prefer melee or spells? And how high are your INT and WIS? That should factor into your choicce.

yes it was indeed restricted by my armor which I just now discovered by accident. I switched armor and as I was examining it (b4 I switched) I noticed a line max dex bonus or some such and it read 6 so I put it on and noticed that the number next to my dex was now green and 6.
I'm wondering if the expansions being shorter (in play time from what I've read) will have the experience to achieve a higher than 20 level if the oc does not.
I was thinking of multiclassing as some sort of melee although my strength is a limiting factor there umm, my int. is ok I think around 12 unmodified but my wisdom is like 8 I think. I was considering ranger, druid, or possibly the shadowdancer to compliment my investment in stealth already. There is also the champion one, and maybe paladin just to give what's her name that little push over the edge.
Also if I'm going to be limited to 20ish levels are there any goodies in the higher rogue levels that would make sticking with just one class worthwhile?
