Armor for multiclassed mages.

What is the best armor for multiclassed mages, actually i just found the chain mail +1(elven) that is with the shadowmaster of amn(forgot his name)
there is any armor better than this one?

Bladeslinger chain, but it's found too late in the game to use much. Too bad, too, cuz it also looks cool.

Shadow dragon scale is AC 1, and can be worn by Nalia and Imoen without disabling their spells. Gives Nalia AC -5 with her family ring and dex bonus.

are u sure?? u really didn't use any cheats??
i thought that shadow dragon scale whould disable the abilites of cast spells! i will test it right now!

yeah, as i thought that didnt work on me, nalia , imoen and me(swashbuckler/mage) had the spells disabled

When you get to the underdark, drow chain works like elven chain.You can get +5 chian unfortunately it disintegrates when you get back to the surface

RiPPer: you are absolutely right, of course. The shadow dragon scale DOES disable wizard spells, as it should. I think when I "tried" it out I only put it on Nalia, and since I didn't get a message on the inventory screen about disabling wizard spells I jumped to conclusions. Now, of course, when I try it I do get the text message...

Robe of Vecna (?).
Good arorclass and speedy gonzales spellcasting. Dex 18, ROV, Blur, Ring of prtection +2, Staff of the magi (?), Ring of earth. Tenssers something and you have the best fighter this side of icewind dale.
