Missing Quest?
Missing Quest?
I'd noticed this before but never asked about it so I was wondering if anyone on the forums could enlighten me. On the back of my game case there's a screenshot of your character talking with a cowboy hat wearing women and they're discussing you retrieving a pearl for her in exchange for information. I for one have never seen a quest like this, and I'm pretty sure I did every side quest, and I can't find it in the gamebanshee walkthrough either. Is it something to do with the unofficial patches as I've only got version 1.2?

This has been asked a few times on the forum, but, it's a valid question that confused many of us. The basic answer - the quest was removed from the game prior to release. It does not exist in any version of the game or unofficial mod. There are a couple other pre-release screenshots (such as one with VV and Jeanette together) which suggests there was some other content cut. I suppose this is typical for games. It is unfortunate, however, that a removed quest made it on to the game's box.
