Stuck on Nar Shaddaa
Stuck on Nar Shaddaa
Here is my problem, I'm going through as light side, and have made a fatal error, I killed Visquis before the Ebon Hawk was attacked, is there any other way to get to Goto? I was suppose to be invited to see Goto after the battle in the Ebon Hawk, but like I said had already killed Visquis. Can anyone help me out???
You mean you killed the overseer in the Refugee Quad? That wasn't Visquis; that was Saquesh (although they are both Quarren).
The GameBanshee walkthrough makes that mistake, too.
Don't worry, Visquis will be waiting for you once you have dealt with the Red Eclipse *and* annoyed/pleased the exchange sufficiently.

LucasArts in interview with GameSpy, September 2004
"We were hoping we could bring the Xbox platform into December but didn't want to make the formal announcement until we knew an earlier ship date would not compromise the quality of The Sith Lords," says Producer Mike Gallo.
Thanks for the response, but I have already killed the Red Eclipse and he has still not contacted me, is there something else I have to do to trigger the contact??
Be aware that the 'getting influence with the exchange' thing is bug ridden as hell. I have had sufficient influence after simply leaving the Hawk and immediately reentering without doing ANYTHING! Other people have the opposite problem.
Paying the mousy little person to the right of the door in the Entertainment Prom can buy you the notice of the exchange. Quite a lot of the side-quests get their attention too.

Many people believe that there is a set amount of cutscenes that must be taken out of cue on your return to the Ebon Hawk. If you had some still left to view, then they would hold back the encounter with the eclipse.
I have also heard a lot about marked amounts of experience required compared to the amount of Jedi Masters found.
However, usually it is that you have either played it for the first time and your not sure what would effect the exchange, or you have played before, and believe you have finished one task when in fact you only remember it from the first or second game of it you played.
The result is always the same. Wander more. Talk to Atton. Visit the Ebon Hawk semi frequently. Always be prepared to handle them when you leave the ship, because you never know...

A lot of them easy too. For example, there is one where you come across the exchange getting ready to make an exchange. Kill the people involved. Stop the thugs tormenting the man in the main area. Things like that pop up every once in a while. Always take the chance on it.

I'm having a similar problem. Mira won't show up, the Red Eclipse won't show up, and I can't get to Goto's yacht. And I'm fairly certain I've done everything. I bribed the rodent in the Entertainment Promenade, I defeated the Pazaak champion, I danced for Vogga and spiked his hounds' drinking water, I've taken a walk inside the Jekk'Jekk Tarr using my main character, I examined freighter IDs, I rescued that girl the squid-like fellow in the refugee quad was holding, and I've even opened up the markets for Geeda. You name it, I've done every little side quest, even though the log refuses to recognise some of them.
Is this a known issue, or did I just get bitten by a very nasty bug?
EDIT: And of course I don't have any saves preserved from the pre-Nar-Shadaa Era. >.<

Here is an idea, have you read the journal entries? Sometimes they will add something like 'Now talk to Fassa to recieve your reward!' or something like that.
Have you wiped out the Exchange from the area? Have you stopped thugs from killing people in multiple areas? Have you visited the dock lately? Have you been on the ship and watched all the cutscenes?
Have you spoken to the droid secretary of the all-droid warehouse? Did you ask the little Piggy guy if the exchange wishes to meet you... or kill you? Did you heal the man who believes he is inflicted with a disease? Did you go through all the areas in the docks where people were living for sidequests? Have you recieved all the available lightsaber parts?
Have you faced of against Saquesh? Spoke to him about all the problems and warning him that your going to take down the exchange?
As you can see, there is quite the list.
There are many little triggers in the game that you need to complete.

the first game through as ds it seemed to take ages to annoy to the exchange but this time as ls they got annoyed before i wanted to do it so i had to tie up loose ends on my way back to the docks. have you made life easier (or worse for the refugees) by dealing with both the sorroco refugee thug people and the exchange in one way or another? also, there are a lot of sidequests available in nar shadaa if you go around and ask people you meet. lastly, i don't know if it has an effect on it, but there is an ex-bounty hunter next to the exit from the i.d. changing big eared person you retrieve the droid for. he will tell you all about the exchange, how to get their attention and about all the bounty hunters you will come across.
another thing i noticed was that you do not seem to get the exchange contacting you while you travel around by the speeder you repair. so try walking between areas for a bit to see if that activates the trigger for it all to happen.
(lastly, i know this doesn't help and i am not trying to rub things in or anything, but i've found from many bad experiences with various games that its often a good idea to make a seperate save at the end of every main area, or planet, and not overwrite that save. that way if things do get screwed up you have various checkpoints you can reload to)
edit: just another thought, but have you gone into the refugee bit with atton and triggered the twileks that recognise him, talked to them and then confronted atton about it. i don't see why this would affect things but due to the awkwardness of getting visquis to trigger, you may need to.

Looks like I'm hijacking the thread.
Anyway, here's a list of pretty much everything I've done on Nar Shaddaa. I think it's in order to put a big, fat SPOILER tag here.
Kahranna is still waiting to be transported,
As I said before, I got the Ithorian out of his debt already.
And I united Lootra and Aaida. I had to kill the exchange thugs guarding the Refugee Quad entrance (which got me dark side points) to unite them. They couldn't be persuaded to get out of the way peacefully.
And I overheard some thugs in the area talking about spiking the Kath Hounds' drinking water, which I did. I did enter Vogga's storage space, and I found a few things there, including a lightsaber.
The Bith scientist has been killed, along with his contact in the Pylon. There was nothing I could do to save them.
I haven't found any way to exploit the Mandalorians, though.
Oh, and before someone else suggests it, the game is fully patched. Didn't notice any difference.
I'm going to walk around for a while, to see if it fixes itself. I'm not too optimistic. Looks like I'm going to have to restart my proud Jedi Guardian.

Most of the ones that I know I have completed and aren't recognised show up as I haven't started solved it yet. For example, I've gotten one of those power batteries from Lassavou in the docks area, and given it to Fassa. And I've examined the freighter IDs and assigned their priorities correctly. Yet both quests (Freighter ID and Power-up-the-pylons) quests are marked along the lines of "you need to assign Freighter priorities" and "you need to power up the pylons". Something fishy is going on. I've gone through Nar Shaddaa with another character before, and the quests were completed without any issues then.have you read the journal entries? Sometimes they will add something like 'Now talk to Fassa to recieve your reward!' or something like that.
Kahranna is still waiting to be transported,
I persuaded the squid in the Refugee Quad to give the population more space. I have killed every one of the pigs in the area that have seen me open a container. I killed every single Serroco thug in the other side of the Refugee Quad as well. The refugee leader has thanked me for my efforts, and IIRC he gave me a lightsaber for it.Have you wiped out the Exchange from the area?
Yup.Have you stopped thugs from killing people in multiple areas?
I've been running back and forth between all areas repeatedly, looking for anything I hadn't completed yet. I've been on the dock and all the other areas several times since I ran out of things to do.Have you visited the dock lately?
I've entered and exited the Ebon Hawk several times on Nar Shaddaa. Nothing new to be seen there.Have you been on the ship and watched all the cutscenes?
Yes, he told me it was a droid-only warehouse, and that he wasn't looking for buying single droids. Large shipments only. If I recall the adventures of my previous character correctly (which was last summer, so memory gaps are to be expected), I entered that area with the utility droid. Somehow.Have you spoken to the droid secretary of the all-droid warehouse?
Yup, even before I gave it 2000 credits for telling them I wanted them dead, it told me they wanted my head, with or without the body attached. That hasn't changed. They still want my head, only they can't seem to be convinced to go out and get it.Did you ask the little Piggy guy if the exchange wishes to meet you... or kill you?
Yes, I did it before I talked to the squid in the Refugee Quad. During my conversation with the squid, I had the option of lying to him that the disease would spread if he didn't give them more space, even though I already healed the guy (hence that option was marked as a "lie").Did you heal the man who believes he is inflicted with a disease?
Yup. I talked with the Lunar Shadow crew, and offered them Odis from the refugee quad as a new pilot. They accepted. Their former captain is still inside the Jekk'Jekk Tarr, and he has nothing to say that doesn't fit in a pop-up talk bubble. No conversation screen is available.Did you go through all the areas in the docks where people were living for sidequests?
As I said before, I got the Ithorian out of his debt already.

Yeah, I had gotten my main character a lightsaber before I even landed on Nar Shaddaa IIRC. I think I got the last part I needed from the bad doctor on Onderon (which was my first post-Telos planet).Have you recieved all the available lightsaber parts?
Assuming that Saquesh is the name of the squid I've been talking about all the time, yes.Have you faced of against Saquesh? Spoke to him about all the problems and warning him that your going to take down the exchange?
I talked to him. It was one of the first things I did on Nar Shaddaa.i don't know if it has an effect on it, but there is an ex-bounty hunter next to the exit from the i.d. changing big eared person you retrieve the droid for. he will tell you all about the exchange, how to get their attention and about all the bounty hunters you will come across.
That's interesting. I've been travelling around quite a bit on the speeder, although by no means exclusively. I'll try walking around some more.another thing i noticed was that you do not seem to get the exchange contacting you while you travel around by the speeder you repair. so try walking between areas for a bit to see if that activates the trigger for it all to happen.
Yes, I did that. Atton ended up becoming force sensitive after our little conversation there.just another thought, but have you gone into the refugee bit with atton and triggered the twileks that recognise him, talked to them and then confronted atton about it. i don't see why this would affect things but due to the awkwardness of getting visquis to trigger, you may need to.
That's definitely what I'll do next time. Rather easy to become foresighted once it's too late, huh?(lastly, i know this doesn't help and i am not trying to rub things in or anything, but i've found from many bad experiences with various games that its often a good idea to make a seperate save at the end of every main area, or planet, and not overwrite that save. that way if things do get screwed up you have various checkpoints you can reload to)

I seem to remember one time having a journal entry that did not change, until I spoke specifically on the topic with the person who gave it to me. Then the quest was finally erased from the active list. Most of the ones that I know I have completed and aren't recognised show up as I haven't started solved it yet. For example, I've gotten one of those power batteries from Lassavou in the docks area, and given it to Fassa. And I've examined the freighter IDs and assigned their priorities correctly. I'm pretty sure that is still the same. I don't remember any 'He's waiting for you at the docks', but I do remember asking him to transport her.Kahranna is still waiting to be transported,
Have you spoken to Atton and all the characters in the cutscenes since then?I've entered and exited the Ebon Hawk several times on Nar Shaddaa. Nothing new to be seen there.
Speaking to the guy with the junkpile may change that, or asking him if he ever sells droids to the warehouse.Yes, he told me it was a droid-only warehouse, and that he wasn't looking for buying single droids. Large shipments only. If I recall the adventures of my previous character correctly (which was last summer, so memory gaps are to be expected), I entered that area with the utility droid. Somehow.
That may have no bearing. I doubt there is anything other than some commentary native to Dxun.I haven't found any way to exploit the Mandalorians, though.
I've only ever done Nar Shadaa first. However, I don't think the game goes forward if you do not have all the pieces. It looks like you have done everything you needed to do, though, in that regard.Yeah, I had gotten my main character a lightsaber before I even landed on Nar Shaddaa IIRC. I think I got the last part I needed from the bad doctor on Onderon (which was my first post-Telos planet).
Did you kill him and all his henchmen? I'm guessing yes, but just to be sure...Assuming that Saquesh is the name of the squid I've been talking about all the time, yes.

you don't get into the droid warehouse until after visquis contacts you. its one of the bits where your allies try to rescue you.
also, the bit to get the woman a flight off nar shaddaa cannot be resolved until after stopping go-to from capturing the freighters, again after visquis has contacted you etc.

I stated that it may be a trigger for the even to happen, so as the game can move on without having to try and figure out what to do next yourself. It makes more sense.you don't get into the droid warehouse until after visquis contacts you. its one of the bits where your allies try to rescue you.

Well, what do you know... after yet another hour of walking back and forth between areas, the Red Eclipse suddenly invaded the Ebon Hawk. There was nothing that triggered it, really. Nothing changed from the time of my last post to the time it triggered, except for the game duration (naturally).
Just as I was trying to enter the Docks from the Landing Pad as I had done innumerable times before, a scene started where the flying guy who owned the Ebon Hawk's landing space was making excuses. The story continued normally from there. I met Mira, she poisoned me, she got herself caught inside the Jekk'Jekk Tarr, etc.
Well, thanks for all the help, everyone. At least I can continue now, even though I still don't know what caused the delay...
EDIT: And most of the finished-but-marked-as-unfinished quests disappeared without any noticeable reason. I have no idea what happened. I'm not complaining, though. ^_^

I'm guessing something 'snapped' here, and everything got put back into the correct order of events.EDIT: And most of the finished-but-marked-as-unfinished quests disappeared without any noticeable reason. I have no idea what happened. I'm not complaining, though. ^_^
Good luck with the rest of the game, Bókabéus.

The only way you can make anything happen with them is if you go there with Mandalore in your party. He persuades them to join the reunified Mandalorians, and they vanish. You get precisely nothing for this; no money, no items, no experience and no further information.
