Expected around that.

Like elder scrolls 3, it's prolly gonna be a "smarter" game for people, but they also want to lower the rating as much as possible to get more people to buy it. Standard marketing right there.

I dunno, I'm actually becoming skeptical on this.

But, that's all covered in several other threads, what it'd be like and stuff, so I won't delve deeper here.

I expect ratings are actually pretty high profile at the moment, especially in the States with the whole San Andreas/Hot Coffee fiasco.

Really? Ive run into that a few times myself, but sometimes, if I just act like its nothing out of the ordinary for a 15 year old to be buying a game rated M with out a parent (which it isnt) I can normally get by. also it helps if you get to know the guys working th ecounter.

Not if your parents wont buy it. I have not that trouble, though, buying my own games and being older than the average gamer.

By the way, I expect this game to come to Brazil. :( Otherwise, 3x the price to bring it from the us! AAARGH!

Gogamer.com in Europe has it for $44 US which is $5 US cheaper than the US (last I looked), so you don't have to pay 3x to get it. :)

Thou I don't know why you would be paying 3x more from the US.
Trust me, most of the names I have been called you can't translate in any language...they're not even real words as much as a succession of violent images.

As he said, he's in Brazil, meaning he'd have to pay a huge shipping to get the game.

In any case, I've been able to get M rated games since my 16th Bday, they thought with my excessive facial hair I was 21 (HA!).

After I posted yesterday I did some reserch and I found out that half the games I have bought over the years I was not allowed to buy, no one ever said anything to me? I worked at a game store and I always thought that was just our company policy to check ages.

I don't have a problem with it, but there is this really old guy who looks like Jack Nicholson at my video game store. He must think I have to much money. Therefore, I must be a hooligan drug dealer who shouldnt be buying the games.

Parents will buy it if I want it though. Not really that much to buy, considering I don't play many FPS (Just Halo).

I don't think anyone in Flanders cares about those age ratings, there's never been a big debate over them, nor a campaign or protest. Most shops will sell 18+ games to anyone who wants them, except if they have explicit erotical content but those games aren't sold in toystores anyway.
