I've read two posts in the past few days mentioning mayor's daughters. I've played both Fable and TLC through many times and as far as I know there are only two mayors in the whole game, Lady Grey, and the mayor of Knothole Glade. Neither of them ever says anything about having a daughter, let alone you being able to meet, rescue, or marry their daughter.
I'd say this whole mayor's daughter thing is a hoax started by people with too much time on there hands.
(To the moderators) Sorry if I've overstepped my bounds in posting this. I'm just trying to keep people from wasting time on this, like so many of us did with the singing sword riddle hoax.

I'm pretty sure that the only town you can become mayor of is Bowerstone
