Mapping

Post by simi »

This is probably a stupid question, but does anyone else have a compulsive desire to map every area in this darn game? Seems I can't just play this thing, I have to map out all the areas in their entirety..Just wondering if I was the only one.

If u mean walking into every little corner of the world and looking under every single blade of grass, then yes. I always explore everything before proceeding to a new area (if I dont, i usually return later). its the same in every game I play, I never want to miss any of the goodies that might be hidden out there, and I get a feeling of incompletion if I finish a game with areas still unexplored. :)

with that said, I'd like to place a question (or two actually): I know some of the spells from the manual have not (yet?) been added to the actual game. The spells im looking for are the Fire/ice storm and the cataclysm. are they not ingame or have I just not found them yet? And why dont they give us some mage robes to go with those (extremely stylish :D ) hats? Now we mages are forced to wear armor! like some common grunt!! yuck! :p

If you're playing version 1.3 or later, then the game maps things for you. You can find maps in our walkthrough.

I have to 1.4 english mod version and while the mapping is great, I still go and make sure I have gotten every last detail mapped..

As for the other questions, have not come across those spells as of yet, but I am only at the moosbeast isle right now, on my way to skulldoon..Hopefully they have been added, but who knows..Got to admit robes would be nice, tired of watching my female elfs backside run in skin tight armor.. :D
